Lovin it ;)

I love This magazine, I like to collect them all, specially the ones printed on paper. Im a graphic designer and I think is very useful to find inspiration and to study new techniques!

Great Read

On top of whats new and always great columns.

Waste of money

Imagine a large-format magazine, normally printed in smaller than usual type, shrunk down to the size of an iPad. Yep. Completely unreadable unless you reverse pinch to zoom it out, then you have to slide the pages left, right, up, and down to read them. Even Zinio offers better options than that. Theres little more here than a PDF version of the magazine itself, locked in a fixed format with no ability to adjust for the size of the device it finds itself in. Youd think a magazine that spends so much of its space writing about working on the web would at least *try* and take advantage of the interactivity possibilities in a tablet, but no, they couldnt be bothered to do more than snap a picture of a magazine page, reduce it by 35% or so, and wave it in front of you. Utter crap. Complete waste of time and money. Id have rated this as zero stars, but Apple wont let me go below one.

Its NOT free

Hey, $hitheads. Dont say you mag is free when it isnt. I love you guys, but seriously, stop misleading your customers.

Expensive issues

You guys would get so many more purchases if you would offer samples or better descriptions of each issue

Rip-off!

To think Id pay such a price for a digital version of the magazine. I cant believe the high price they ask for each issue and subscription!

pure garbage

I was stupid enough to purchase the garbage application and issues. Now, the most current issue never downloads and simply says "waiting". The printed version of the magazine is much better. These clowns have a thing or two to learn about app development. Currently waiting for a refund. Dont waste you money on this p o s.

Fire the ux expert.

Its horrible to read on this app its time to make something a bit more compatible for this device.

Terrible UI... poor attempt at iPhone App

Ive had a subscription to your printed magazine and Ive bought it off the shelf at book stores. This digital copy is far less expensive than buying it off a booksellers shelf and as a print subscription which I appreciate. However, the actual iPhone/iPad app leaves a lot to be desired. The UI is terrible. There is no integration with Safari, to easily navigate to a web link. The advertisement space is annoying in the mobile environment and takes up way too much real estate. Finally, had I known there would not be any way to get the disks, included with the printed edition and that I would not have access to the web site, as I do with a print subscription, I never would have subscribed to it via the App Store. I can tell you this much, I will not renew, until these options are made available.

Slow

Takes too long to render each page on retina iPad. Pages should be cached for faster switching.

Great (paper) magazine

This is a wonderful publication for graphic artists and designers that probably looks really great on paper (although a bit pricey for those of us on the west side of "the pond"). You would think that a magazine with the word "computer" in its name would be be better optimized for the ultimate state of the computer "art" - this little iPad. I realize hat this is a small firm, but an iPad optimized magazine (take a look at PopSci or Business Week) could really become THE global resource for computer artists.

Great Magazine

Bought the latest issue to try it out, it stood out from me just by seeing the cover and what was being covered. The tutorials in here are great, and the interface is well layed out. More expensive than a domestic U.S. magazine, but worth it in my eyes. Will recommend this magazine for our visual communications department.

Wow

After 3 years it finally comes to iOS without being made for other countries! Now I can enjoy on my iPad 3!

Misleading Buying Options

After downloading the app, I found an issue I wanted to check out. Each issue has a "buying options" button which displays four options for purchasing when clicked. These include a price fortune single issue, then 3 different subscription tiers starting at 5.99 for a month. One gets the impression that one can subscribe in order to get access to the issue one is looking at. But NO. I subscribed and have basically wasted 6 dollars, because I didnt get access to the issue I clicked on. Instead, I get the latest issue, which I dont want. To get the issue I want, even as a subscriber, I still have to pay $6.99. Ironically, this is probably a UI design flaw. But whatever the cause or motive, its still B.S. and you still get ripped off.

What happened !!!

I am in love with this magazine...it used to work really great for me but since the last update i dont know what happened...it just wont open...i try several times again and again but it kept on crashing all the time...so i had to reinstall it and restore all my previous purchases...now its working but it takes alooooooot of time to start up (store page)...please fix it asap its really irritating...thanks

What a let down

I love this magazine, but this is not worth a download. There are no interactive elements whatsoever.

Love the layout!

So much easier to read and I find myself reading more articles than before. Although couldnt for the life of me figure out how to exit magazine and get back to the store...

Great Magazine!

I love this magazine, but Im having a problem downloading one of the in-app purchases I made. It would be great if you could check for bugs and update the app.

Much better after ux update

Now that the design has been massively updated I like it a lot. Quick note of problems: downloads are kinda slow, and I mean really slow, image sizes maybe to big? Other note runs a bit laggy on my iPad two, that might be because of iOS 7 or a bug but beyond that if you got an iPad 3 + its definitely great for designers to pick up. As always content is awesome and useful.

Awesome magazine that looks great on iPad

Since the redesign, this magazine works great on my iPad!
